Freezing and Defrosting
How will my patisserie arrive?
Our patisserie is delivered frozen, they are package in robust boxes. Local deliveries are delivered in our temperature-controlled van. Other Uk deliveries are placed inside a temperature-controlled box with individually ice packs and arrive via express courier service. Depending on your order size, some may have extra bubble wrap inside the temperature-controlled box to make sure the inner boxes do not move in transportation.
The date stamp on the back label of the inner box is the shelf life given to your product if you defrost it on the day it arrives to you.
If you prefer to keep it in the freezer for a later date, that is no problem as long as it is still frozen. It will keep up to 3 months in the freezer, there is a date stamp on the bottom of the box with the products 3 months freezer shelf life on it.
When you are ready to consume it, you will need to defrost it and keep it in the fridge. It will keep 4-6 days once defrosted in the fridge.
Freezing your patisserie
Your cake can be kept in the freezer for up to 3 months depending on which type of freezer you have. It is not suitable to refreeze once it has been fully defrosted.
Defrosting your patisserie
We have packaged your patisserie in bespoke purpose made packaging, so you can simply take it out of the freezer and place it into your fridge to defrost. Individual patisserie will take up to 4 hours to defrost in the fridge and large cake will take minimum of 8 hours or overnight is recommended.
Patisserie must be defrosted in the fridge – do NOT defrost at room temperature.
Do NOT re-freeze after defrosting.
All Products must be kept refrigerated below 4oc and must be consumed within 4 – 6 days once deforested.
To enjoy all our patisserie flavours, we recommend you serve it at room temperature, taking it out of the fridge and its box 10 -15 minutes before eating. Enjoy!
